Pal Campo Restaurant in Tampa is a vibrant gem, offering an authentic taste of Puerto Rican cuisine. Nestled on Anderson Road, the restaurant’s lively atmosphere instantly transports you to the Caribbean, with bright decor and festive music adding to the charm. Reviewers rave about the vast array of dishes, particularly the mouthwatering pork options that dominate the menu. Standout selections include the crispy mofongo and the brilliant pork belly, which leave patrons raving about their generous portions and rich flavors. The arroz con gandules, perfectly seasoned, and the tostones, delightfully crispy, encapsulate the essence of Puerto Rican comfort food. While most diners commend the food's authenticity—comparable to what one would experience in Puerto Rico—some note that service can be slightly slow at times. Despite this, the warmth of the staff and the inviting setting create a memorable dining experience. This was my first time trying puerto rican food and I wasn't sure what to expect. This place isn't just about the food, its the entire experience. The atmosphere is very loud and vibrant. There are a lot of different foods to choose from and we pick the fritters as an appetizer and the mofongo and pork belly as our entrees. All were very delicious but the standout for me was the pork belly. It was absolutely massive and fried and spiced to perfection. I had leftovers for two days. Check this place out you won't be disappointed.

I recently visited this Puerto Rican restaurant, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, offering an authentic taste of Puerto Rican cuisine. From the crispy and flavorful mofongo to the tender lechon asado, every dish was a burst of vibrant flavors. The arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) was perfectly seasoned, and the tostones (fried plantains) were crispy and perfectly salted. Every bite truly transported me to the heart of Puerto Rico. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a festive yet relaxed vibe. The decor featured bright colors and island-inspired accents, which added to the overall charm and made the dining experience feel like a little escape to Puerto Rico. The music, playing softly in the background, was a nice touch, adding to the island feel without being overwhelming. While the food and ambiance were fantastic, the service could have been a bit better. The staff was friendly, but there were a few moments where we had to wait a bit longer than expected for drinks and to place our order. However, the overall experience still felt enjoyable, and the quality of the food made up for the minor service hiccups. In conclusion, this Puerto Rican restaurant offers outstanding food and a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re craving authentic Puerto Rican flavors, it’s definitely worth a visit. The service could use some improvement, but the incredible food and cozy setting make it a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy the taste of Puerto Rico.

I was visiting from Puerto Rico, and the food is exactly like it is there. The taste was very good, everything was organized and the dishes came out excellent. One of the best restaurants of typical Puerto Rican food that I have visited in the United States.

Today, my fiancee and I had the pleasure of dining at El Campo, a Puerto Rican restaurant in Tampa, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the warm, authentic atmosphere. The food was nothing short of amazing. I ordered the mofongo relleno de pulpo, and my fiancee had the mofongo relleno de carne frita. Both dishes were beautifully presented in traditional pilones and decorated with care. As an appetizer, we tried the alcapurrias, and I have to say, they were the best I've ever had. Every dish was not only delicious but also plated with such elegance that it felt like we were dining at a high-end restaurant. The ambiance was perfect—a true homage to Puerto Rican culture. The restaurant was spotless, tastefully decorated, and filled with the lively sounds of traditional Puerto Rican music playing softly in the background. The servers, dressed in traditional Puerto Rican attire, added to the authenticity and charm of the experience. The service itself was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring everything was just right. If you’re in Tampa and looking for an authentic Puerto Rican dining experience that will transport you straight to the island, El Campo is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, exceptional service, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

Very friendly and welcoming service. We were pleasantly surprised with how beautiful this place is, inside and out! Roxana was a fantastic waitress and gave us great recommendations. They have proper dishes from Puerto Rico. Everything we ordered was absolutely great, and we are so glad we made this stop before leaving Tampa. Pal Campo is perfect for families, date nights, and friends alike. I would highly recommend you try it!
